Our Programme

Children in Pre-Nursery are active movers and are filled with curiosity about the big world around them. At this level, we provide children opportunities to develop self-help and self-regulation skills to foster a greater sense of autonomy and confidence. This includes toilet training, dressing and more. Our Pre-Nursery Programme promotes developing relationships among peers and educators. It also includes concrete and hands-on experiences for improved cognitive development. Children will be actively exploring their interests in both academics and the arts.

As children’s overall development start to progress rapidly from Nursery level, we provide a wide range of activities that expose them to the various learning domains. At this stage, we introduce Rigby Star Phonics for early literacy skills, and Stepping Stones for early numeracy skills. These provide the basis for language, mathematical, science, arts and social emotional development, which prepares them for successful learning experiences in the rest of the preschool years.

Approaching Kindergarten 1, children’s ability to learn, grasp and apply concepts indepthly heighten. They seek to be competent in tasks and are aware of their strengths and weaknesses. Friendships become very important to them too. Our Kindergarten 1 programme capitalises on the developmental growth whereby more complex concepts and skills are introduced. Educators also support children to develop and maintain friendships respectfully.

Kindergarten 2 is usually the most memorable year for children. They are more mature, aware and capable of achieving. Our programme is designed to stretch every child’s potential and prepare them for their next phase of education, primary school. An equal emphasis is made on academics, arts, social and emotional skills, self-help skills, confidence and classroom behaviour to provide a smooth transition to primary school.  

NAFA Arts Preschool offers a full-day and half-day programme for children aged 18 months to 6 years old.
